We have a vacancy for a band 6 secondment post on IRU Ward to cover maternity leave.
This post offers excellent opportunities to develop your education and managerial skills and responsibilities whilst maintaining clinical expertise. If you have a desire to extend your knowledge and skills in this area, and to help ensure that our patients receive the highest standard of care while helping to support and develop the ward team, we would like to hear from you.
You should have a minimum of 2 years' experience at band 5. Good written and verbal communication skills along with knowledge of IT systems are also required. You should also be a hard-working, assertive and motivated professional.
The successful applicant will be required to co-ordinate the ward on a day-to-day basis and should therefore have the ability to organise and prioritise their workload, and that of others, use their initiative and be able to solve problems and contribute new ideas within a multi-disciplinary team. They will deputise for the Ward Manager in their absence and will also supervise other members of staff in order to maintain high standards of patient care.
