Job Description Reporting to either the trade supervisor or the project PM (depending on project size), the foreman is one of the lead tradespersons on the job and coordinates the activities of the personnel within his or her team. It is the foreman’s responsibility to ensure that all work is delivered safely and with flawless quality. It is also this person’s job to make sure that the people under their control are kept busy on value added activity and all productivity targets are met. Priority will always be: Safety. Quality. Productivity and Schedule. Responsibilities: Champion safety within your work crew & ensure a safe working environment All effected by the activities of your work crew. Ensure that all equipment planned for use by their work crew is safe and fit for purpose. Ensure that safety records are in date for each member of the crew, and any required training is complete or planned before starting on site. Conduct weekly tool box talks with the support of the safety advisor. Implement all appropriate Lean initiatives. Each foreman will be assigned several work packs for delivery. It is his/her responsibility to ensure that these packs of work are delivered with a S/E Engage with the planning team / white board owner to ensure that daily and weekly work plans are accurate; appropriate and that there is a high confidence level that commitments will be achieved. Order day to day materials using the req sheets, follow up on orders, Manage plant and equipment Liaise with subcontractors Teams call with commercial / design / store / suppliers (they do this at present – need see who should)
