Principal Planning Officer - £44,711 - £46,731 Link to Policy Role description and person specification As a Principal Planning Officer in Strategic Planning, you will play a leading role in coordinating and delivering up-to-date planning frameworks for Wiltshire. We’re looking for an experienced planner who can lead teams to deliver complex projects involved with reviewing the Local Plan or key topics such as employment, housing and renewable energy. Your creativity and project management skills will be key, as will engaging communities and stakeholders, to support appropriate and sustainable development in Wiltshire. Our ideal candidate will hold a planning related degree and higher qualification accredited by the RTPI, together with post-qualification experience working on significant strategic planning policy matters and preparation of local plans. Experience in appearing as an expert witness at planning appeals, or examination in public will also be required. Senior Planning Officer - £41,511 - £43,693 Link to Policy Role description and person specification As a Senior Planning Officer, you will make a significant contribution towards the preparation, monitoring and review of Development Plan Documents, working with stakeholders to deliver sustainable development. Ensuring compliance with statutory responsibilities you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping Wiltshire’s communities and future landscape. For this role you will need to have significant experience working as a planning officer within the public or private sector, including mentoring junior members of staff, and some experience of representing an organisation at planning inquiry, or examination in public.
