NEOS Engineering are working with a fantastic heavy plant organisation who are looking for Workshop Plant Fitters to join the team! This is a fantastic opportunity for a plant engineer who wants to work for a market leading business that can offer some of the best working conditions, training & benefits on the market.
The ideal candidate for the role is someone from the Heavy Plant or Agricultural industry, you will have a minimum of NVQ 2 in Plant/Agricultural machinery. The candidate needs to have experience working on diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems and diagnostic equipment.
The day-to-day role of a Plant Engineer within this organisation is to service, maintain & repair Heavy Plant equipment including Concreting plant, Dozers, Telehandlers, Powered Access, Generators & much more!
Main Responsibilities
1. Completion of planned, preventative and corrective maintenance activities.
2. Maintain records of work completed and support processes.
3. Delivery of continuous improvement projects/actions.
4. Adhere to all safety-related documentation (Safe Systems of Work, Visual Task Sheets & Risk Assessments/Permits to work etc) for all maintenance activities.
5. Ensure safety related documentation (Risk Assessments/Permits to work etc.) for all maintenance work is completed where required.
6. Strong & Proactive communication with the site team - acting as the face of Explore Plant Hire.
7. Support management with root cause problem solving exercises.
Skills/Knowledge
Strong maintenance background with excellent understanding of heavy plant machinery ranging from excavators, telehandlers, dumpers & rollers etc. (OEM understanding for CAT, JCB and Hitachi Machines preferred.)

Qualifications
1. NVQ Level 3 Plant Maintenance /time served or equivalent.
2. CSCS Gold.
3. IPAF / Slinger/Signaller (Preferred)
4. Rope Trained (Preferred)
5. Full UK Driving Licence (Preferred)
