At Steer Automotive Group, we are dedicated to providing high-quality automotive repair services, and due to our continued growth, we’re excited to welcome an experienced MET (Mechanical, Electrical, and Trim) Technician to our team at our state-of-the-art Bodyshop in Sudbury.
About the Role:
As an MET Technician, you will play a critical role in diagnosing, repairing, and replacing mechanical, electrical, and trim components on a wide range of vehicles, including electric and hybrid models. Your expertise will ensure that we continue to deliver top-notch repairs, helping our customers get back on the road safely and quickly.
Key Responsibilities:
13. Perform all necessary mechanical, electrical, and trim repairs, including ADAS calibration and wheel alignment
14. Dismantle vehicles to prepare them for panel repairs
15. Conduct inspections, fault-finding, and diagnostic work
16. Manage and order replacement parts
17. Reassemble vehicles with new parts to restore them to pre-accident condition
18. Ensure all work meets quality standards and complies with safety regulations
19. Communicate effectively with the team regarding the progress of repairs
About You:
You are a skilled MET Technician with solid experience in accident repair. You thrive under pressure, maintain high standards, and are committed to delivering outstanding results.
Qualifications and Skills:
20. Proven experience as an MET Technician, including work on electric and hybrid vehicles
21. Competency in ADAS, wheel alignment, strip/refit, mechanical repairs, and using diagnostic tools
22. Ability to manage workloads efficiently to meet deadlines
23. Strong attention to detail, ensuring all work follows manufacturer specifications
24. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
25. Flexibility and a customer-focused approach
26. Commitment to Health & Safety standards, maintaining a clean workspace and wearing appropriate PPE
