Pharmacy Manager (9-12 months FTC)

Reporting to: Senior Pharmacy Manager
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 – 18:00
Salary: Competitive + annual bonus

About the role:
The Pharmacy Manager serves as the responsible pharmacist overseeing activities within our Manchester Pharmacy branch. The role is to ensure compliance with all legal and professional authorities is evident and in place continuously. The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for the supervision of all pharmacy staff including training, development and the effective dispensing of medications.
Requirements:
* GPhC Registered Pharmacist.
* Bachelor's degree in either pharmacy, life sciences or related field.
* Previous experience in supervisory or managerial role.
* In-depth knowledge of pharmacy regulations (GPhC).
* Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent attention to detail with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
* Proficient in MS software packages.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
* Demonstrate leadership capabilities including the ability to mentor, inspire and motivate team members.
Responsibilities:
* Own and report pharmacy KPIs daily to Superintendent Pharmacist; including but not limited to: Orders Completed, Orders not Completed, Issue Log, Returns, Productivity.
* Ensure compliance with relevant UK pharmacy regulations set forth by UK Regulatory bodies (GPhC).
* Oversee day-to-day pharmacy branch operations including dispensing prescriptions, inventory management, quality control procedures, health & safety and productivity management.
* Supervision of all pharmacy & support staff.
* Provide training, guidance and support to ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
* Responsible for security of pharmacy branch including escalations and key holding (following probationary period).
* Responsible for pharmacy branch operations inventory control to minimise both discrepancies and loss prevention.
* Collaborate with Superintendent Pharmacist, Operations Director and Responsible Person to ensure all regulatory risks within the pharmacy environment are identified, managed and removed.
* Support recruitment of pharmacy staff including interviews & induction plans.
* Maintain accurate records of pharmacy transactions, prescriptions and regulatory documentation.
* Ensure confidentiality and security of patient information.
* Support contingency plans for disaster recovery to ensure continuity of service.
* Responsible for the daily productivity of sales orders migrating through pharmacy branch ensuring customer service expectation levels are maintained continuously.
* Oversee staff resourcing to ensure appropriate coverage during annual leave and absence.
