Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paraplanner to join our dynamic financial services team. We specialise in providing advice in pensions, investments, tax planning and later life planning.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting financial planners by preparing comprehensive reports, conducting research, and ensuring that all administrative tasks are completed efficiently.
This position requires strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of financial planning processes.
Responsibilities
1. Supporting advisers in analysing clients’ requirements, developing cash flow models, and accurately recording client data;
2. Preparing suitability letters and reports (liaising with administrators), taking full responsibility for the client files and back office IT records throughout the advice process;
3. Preparing client reviews, updating cash flow models, investment performance reviews, and production of supporting reports, discussion documents, and computer models;
4. Working with other practice colleagues to ensure application and provider forms are prepared as required and clients are updated throughout the process;
5. Working within and staying up to date with FCA and legal requirements, plus internal template changes and advice notes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
1. Previous paraplanning experience within an IFA or Wealth Management environment;
2. Minimum Level 4 Diploma PFS qualification desired, not compulsory;
3. Familiar with all major research systems (e.g. Analytics, Voyant etc.);
4. Experience of the Pension Transfer market;
5. Experience of the administration of IHT and/or Investment products;
6. Demonstrates up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulation and legislation;
7. Attention to detail and the ability to solve tasks;
8. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks;
9. Confident communication skills and comfortable dealing with clients, providers, and management;
10. Commitment to providing excellent customer service at all times.
