The Opportunity: As a Low Observability Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Bristol LO test team, supporting various programs throughout their product lifecycles. Your role will focus on reducing risks and qualifying strategies to bring products into service. You will collaborate closely with teams conducting Radio Frequency (RF) and Infra-red (IR) signature assessments to ensure coherence across projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and undertake work package aspects for radar cross-section (RCS) hardware readiness.
2. Lead mechanical design engineers to produce bespoke, fit-for-purpose definitions for manufacture.
3. Interact with various business areas to jointly deliver against requirements.
4. Manage the supply chain to ensure timely, quality, and cost-effective procurements.
5. Gather performance baselines contributing to wider evidence sets for reporting.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Higher education or experience in Physics, Electromagnetics, Electrical, Mechanical, or similar fields.
2. Project coordination and management experience, ideally with supply chain exposure.
3. Understanding of electrical and mechanical construction and interfacing.
4. Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.
5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
6. Professional manner and adaptability to evolving project needs.
7. Experience in leading and tasking others while managing your own workload and meeting deadlines.
8. Willingness to undertake the DV (Developed Vetting) security clearance process.
