Water Networks Analyst (Asset Analyst - Networks)
Location: Barnsley, S75 1JN Hybrid (office and site visits)
Salary: circa £35,000, dependent on experience
Role Type: Permanent, Full-Time, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Ancala Water Services is a private utilities company providing clean and wastewater services to over 1,000 Ministry of Defence sites across England and Wales. And with our network covering a third of the UK, weve got a big job on our hands to ensure our sites run as efficiently as possible. Joining the high-performing Asset Management team, youll be responsible for helping to manage the Water and Wastewater assets and infrastructure across our estate. Your data-driven insights and analytical skill will guide business decisions and youll enjoy the challenge of identifying areas for improvement, with the support of a skilled and tight-knit team.
What Youll Be Doing: Creating robust plans for our field-based leakage technicians and ensuring flow and pressure data is accurate and always available
Taking ownership of engaging and liaising with stakeholders and regulators
Using various data sources to accurately inform decision making and preparing the data for our stakeholders
Monitoring and evaluating asset performance and considering risk, performance and cost
Engaging with the wider business on reporting strategy and developing an innovative suite of reporting dashboards
Identifying areas for improvement using data analysis and creativity to reduce abstraction and leakage
Assist with development of capital investment programme through the prioritisation, promotion and justification of investments
What Youll Bring: Subject matter expert in water and wastewater distribution networks
Awareness of asset management principles, ideally within the water industry
Advanced IT and analytical skills with experience of developing reports and dashboards
First-class written and verbal communication skills with experience of stakeholder management and the ability to influence both technical and non-technical people
A keen desire to learn and improve your own skills and to share knowledge and best practice within the team
Experience of asset management systems and databases (e.g. INFOR, ORACLE, SAP, WaterNet)
Experience within a fast-paced role where you have grown adept at multi-tasking, prioritising effectively
The ability to think creatively, be solutions-focused and resilient in your work
About you:
Due to the nature of sites on which we operate, the successful candidate must: Meet the security clearance requirements for the role which includes, but is not limited to, the successful candidate being a full-time resident of the UK for the past 5 years
Youll need your own transport and be able to travel independently to our sites when required. There will also be overnight stays on occasion and specific requirements will be discussed at interview
