1:2 Tutor

GSL Education’s South Yorkshire branch is looking for a 1:2 Tutor to join our team in Sheffield. This is a wonderful opportunity for an individual who has a passion for working to support young learners with LAC and SEMH needs.
Job summary:
As a 1:2 Tutor, you will deliver tailored tutoring sessions designed to meet the unique needs of your students. This role involves providing personalized educational support to two students, with a focus on those with Looked After Children (LAC) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will work closely with them to support their academic progress and personal development.
Responsibilities:
· Deliver engaging and effective tutoring sessions to two students, addressing their individual learning needs.
· Develop and implement personalized learning plans for academic and emotional support of students.
· Monitor, assess and provide regular feedback on student progress.
· Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to each student's education.
Requirements:
· Proven experience working with Looked After Children (LAC) and students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
· Relevant teaching or tutoring qualifications.
· Strong understanding of the educational and emotional needs of LAC and SEMH students.
· Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles.
· An updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
· A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
