Reporting to Build Hall Manager
Purpose of the role:
To join the growing team responsible for carrying out all aspects of classic car restoration, this role is important to the business to increase the projected output demanded by our ever-increasing customer base. As a Vehicle Restoration Technician at Lunaz Design, you will be responsible for the meticulous restoration of classic and high value vehicles.
This role requires a deep understanding of automotive mechanics, chassis and the integration of a new (EV) drive train, as well as a passion for preserving the heritage of these timeless vehicles. You will work closely with a team of professionals to ensure each restoration project meets our exacting standards of quality and authenticity to delight our discerning clients .
Your role accountabilities:
Vehicle Disassembly and Assessment: Carefully disassemble vehicles, cataloguing and photographing parts and assessing the condition of each component as necessary
Mechanical Restoration: Restore and/or replacement of chassis components, brakes and suspension, and other mechanical systems to factory and Lunaz specifications.
Bodywork: Refit and final set of body panels, locking mechanisms, brightwork and glazing ensuring perfect alignment and fit.
EV Drive System: Install drive unit and ancillaries into place along with necessary inverters and traction batteries into location. Fit switchgear and support commissioning process of electrical hardware
Interior Restoration: Assist in the refit of restored upholstery, carpets, dashboards, and other interior components to Lunaz specifications.
Parts Sourcing: Support the sourcing of rare or hard-to-find parts, ensuring authenticity and compatibility.
Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections and testing to ensure the restored vehicle meets or exceeds original Lunaz standards
Documentation: Maintain detailed records of each restoration project, including photographs, parts lists, and work performed.
Skills & Experience
(Essential)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in classic vehicle restoration.
Proficiency in automotive mechanics, body assembly and installation of trim and electrical EV architecture

Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex mechanical and restoration issues.
Passion for Classic Cars: A genuine passion for classic vehicles and a deep appreciation for their history.
