It is an operational support and maintenance base, within the Navy Command TLB and comprises both Faslane and Coulport sites. HMNB Clydes primary purpose is to provide engineering and logistical support to the Royal Navy in maintaining Continuous at Sea Deterrent (CASD). This is achieved by ensuring at least one Vanguard Class submarine is on patrol at sea every day of the year. Job description Neptune Authorising Demanding Officer (WhiteFleet/YellowFleet) works under the line management, functional control and personal delegation of the Neptune Asset Support Manager (ASM) with responsibility for: Providing Support on all transport matters for leased White/Yellow Fleet assets within NBC Clydes area of responsibility. Acting as the focal point of contact between White Fleet & MHE end users, Contract Management Team (CMT) and the main contractors Babcock Land & Briggs. Providing day to day support to NCHQ (TLB) ,end users within HMNB Clyde, Faslane & RNAD Coulport and other Clyde outstations on all matters related to the Phoenix WF & Yellow Fleet Defence Mechanical Handling Equipment (DMHE) Contracts, to ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, JSP800 & Departmental regulations. ADO (WF/YF) also ensures end users have sufficient fleet vehicles and machinery available to them to meet their operational requirements and that all resources are used properly, effectively and efficiently, working with TLB, CMT, Babcock Service Provider and end users.
