The governors of Gwyrosydd Primary are looking for a passionate, innovative and inspirational leader who has the necessary professional skills to continue our school improvement journey. We are looking for a dynamic individual who will support our newly appointed head teacher to further develop a clear vision for the school.
The school sets high expectations and places a strong emphasis on empowering staff to unlock the potential for pupils to thrive. Our school has a highly inclusive environment with a strong ethos of wellbeing and support. The school already plays a key role in the local community by placing value on the strengths of everyone.
We are looking for an experienced senior leader who enjoys challenge, is forward-looking, and has a clear vision how to support ongoing school improvement. The new deputy headteacher would have the exciting opportunity to assist the head teacher as we look to develop opportunities for our staff and pupils to excel in all aspects of school life.
We are seeking a deputy headteacher with:
* significant school leadership experience
* strong strategic leadership skills
* the ability to support the vision of our head teacher
* a commitment to enhance our distinctive and inclusive vision and ethos
* a passion for supporting and improving the wellbeing of all
* a belief that all children, regardless of background, can succeed
* excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to motivate and empower others
* a clear vision and the ability to lead and promote effective pedagogy
* the ability to be the lead teacher
* the ability to develop positive, effective relationships with families and the wider community
* the ability to support school-wide leadership aiming towards a self-improving model
* the skills to support the iterative process of curriculum design and review
