Senior Planning Officer - Regeneration & Development Planning Permanent Grade 4 - £33,366 - £40,476 Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review Working 35.5 hours per week These are exciting times to work in Birmingham, one of the largest and most dynamic Local Planning Authorities in the country. As a member of the Regeneration & Development Planning team, you'll help shape the city's future. You'll be involved in various local planning services, major development projects, and regeneration initiatives. Your tasks will include: Helping to create and implement site development briefs, area masterplans, and regeneration frameworks. Supporting the development of Statutory planning policies to underpin our growth agenda. Working with stakeholders and the community to develop and deliver projects through engagement, consultation and negotiation. Working with partners on a range of projects across the city and supporting communities with their Neighbourhood Plans. You'll also contribute to major development projects, help with Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPOs), seek funding, and ensure the proper use of S106 funds. Additionally, you'll promote the city's development opportunities to developers and investors and work closely with Business Improvement Districts, ward members, community groups, schools, and universities.
