Vice President Finance – Enabling Functions and Indirect Procurement
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a VP Finance – Head Office to join the Central Finance team, based in Derby.
As VP Finance – Head Office, you will support the SVP Enabling Functions and business partner and support the Indirect Procurement management team and the Enabling Function teams (HR, Finance, General Counsel, Strategy, Communications and Government Relations). The role will ensure we continue to drive a cost-conscious mindset and will play a leading role in securing savings globally in line with our Winning Together workstreams to preserve and create shareholder value.

What you will be doing
1. An integral part of the Central Finance leadership team providing strategic direction, insightful information and advice and options to drive business performance.
2. A business partner ensuring a good understanding of our financial numbers and issues exists at all levels of management.
3. Supporting the Indirect Procurement team to drive cost savings through price reduction, challenging demand increases, or via further optimisation or strategic purchasing make/buy choices.
4. Providing cost transparency to the Divisions of own operating costs and Indirect Purchases and working alongside Divisional Leaders to identify further cost optimization/choices.
5. Ensuring financial management of the functions to deliver our financial commitments and meet/beat budgets, with multi-year forecasts translated into deliverable and owned plans; pro-actively working to ensure optimal performance and achievement of business targets and strategy.
6. Managing reporting, forecasting and statutory requirements for the Head Office Enabling Functions with the help of the regional Finance Managers.
7. Collaborating with the Divisions to consolidate functional cost reporting where possible to give credible insight to Leadership.
8. Interpreting performance trends, supporting the generation of improvement plans and providing solutions to senior management on financial issues.
9. Providing ad hoc reports, assessments or presentations as required.
Who we’re looking for:
1. A Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACMA, ACCA) with extensive PQE.
2. Well organised and competent in understanding issues and getting to the heart of a problem fast.
3. Ability to prioritise and work under minimal supervision.
4. Able to work effectively globally, sensitive to language and cultural differences, develop relationships and influence people to drive outcomes.
5. A personable, driven, effective communicator who can work collaboratively with senior stakeholders and SMEs.
6. Demonstrated commercial acumen with a track record of delivering cost reduction.
7. A proactive and self-driven team player, resilient and results driven.
8. Good hands-on knowledge of key Rolls-Royce systems, including SAP, HFM/VBM, Coupa.
9. Good MS Excel and PowerPoint skills.
