My client is a well-established Mobile Elevating Work Platform manufacturer and one of the largest in Europe, supplying worldwide. To continue this, they are looking for a Production Engineer to join their team. As a Production Engineer, you will be responsible for defining processes and procedures within production while supporting the existing manufacturing of my client's existing and new products. This will be done by generating effective engineering information, systems, and manufacturing processes while implementing and supporting a Lean Manufacturing culture.
Position: Production Engineer
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 DOE and Bonus plus additional package, including 25 days holiday, healthcare scheme, 5% pension contribution, annual bonus, cycle to work scheme, free family events, free company lunches, and more.
Working Hours: Monday - Friday
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Describe and support the lean space allocation and layout for maintenance and updates of CAD layout.
2. Define and support continuous improvement of process documents including sequence, task, parts, tools, and HSE.
3. Identify and sustain required lean implementation for tools, equipment, and machinery for each operation.
4. Lean implementation of operations - people, time, plant, and equipment.
5. Maintaining VM date (MRP) structures and fields.
6. Perform and sustain HSE standards for each operation.
7. Define, design, and sustain required jig, fixtures, lifting, and production aid requirements.
8. Provide effective support to stakeholders.
To apply you MUST have or hold:
1. Experience working in a similar production engineer role.
2. Experience in developing and supporting new/existing production lines and plant equipment.
3. Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma within a manufacturing field.
4. Formal training within Lean/Six Sigma would be beneficial.
5. Previous engineering/manufacturing experience.
6. Computer literate.
7. Good analytical skills.
8. Good knowledge of HSE.
9. Strong organisational skills.
10. Able to troubleshoot and work to tight deadlines.
