What's the mission?
Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading SHEQ Compliance (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality). This involves working closely with both the site team and external support functions to enable compliance at Beenham, to both internal and external standards.
You will monitor compliance, policies, procedures, management systems and provide updates at the monthly management meetings. You will be involved in environmental planning, management of external contractors, assisting with SHEQ investigations, delivering new starter site inductions and driving improvements on site with all areas of SHEQ.
What are the mission critical skills?
* Ideally experience of operating in a medium/large manufacturing operation.
* Knowledge of standards / testing requirements to which our products need to conform.
* Knowledge of Safety and Environmental legislation compliance applied to working situations.
* Experience of quality management systems and process control.
* Experience in management of customer complaints and/or supplier issues (non-conformances).
* Knowledge/use of root cause analysis tools, RCA, MSA and lean techniques would be an advantage.
* PC literate.
* Good written & verbal communication skills.
* Experience dealing with internal and internal audits and corrective action management.
* NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent H&S qualifications preferred)
