The opportunity
As a Retail Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and success of our events by proactively identifying, engaging, and nurturing relationships with key buyers. Your primary objective will be to attract buyers to our events, increase attendee numbers, and enhance overall participant experience. You will leverage your exceptional networking and relationship-building skills to establish mutually beneficial partnerships with potential clients.
What you will be doing
* Research and identify potential buyers and key decision-makers in relevant industries.
* Initiate contact and engage with potential buyers to showcase the value and benefits of our events.
* Build strong relationships with buyers through effective communication, rapport building, and personalised follow-ups.
* Understand the unique needs and objectives of each buyer, and tailor event proposals to meet their requirements.
* Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted promotional strategies to attract buyers.
* Attend industry conferences, networking events, and trade shows to expand your professional network and generate leads.
* Track and report on sales metrics, including lead generation, conversion rates, and revenue growth.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of events and exceptional customer experiences.

* Proven track record in business development, sales, or a related role, with a focus on relationship building and customer acquisition.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and negotiate effectively.
* Strong understanding of the event industry and the factors that drive attendee participation.
* Exceptional networking skills and the ability to create and maintain valuable business relationships.
* Self-motivated and target-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales goals.
* Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
* Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
