We are looking for an enthusiastic new team member to join Ward 12, one of our general and emergency wards at Royal Preston Hospital.
We are seeking a qualified Assistant Practitioner / Nursing Associate, who has a passion for providing high quality patient-focused care for our surgical patients, a flexible attitude towards work, and a desire for new challenges.
You will gain valuable experience and develop wound assessment knowledge and wound care management skills, as well as pre and post-operative care knowledge. These skills are transferable to any area of your nursing career.
General duties will include pre and post-operative care, physiological observations and investigations. You will develop an in-depth knowledge of wound management, stoma care, drain and fluid balance management, and provide personal care to patients. An interest in Upper GI, Colorectal, and Urology would be beneficial.
As a Band 4, you will receive direct support from senior nursing colleagues to develop and enhance your skills, enabling you to nurse a cohort of patients and be responsible for their care.

Maintain accurate and complete records of all care activities, in a timely manner, adhering to local and professional standards for documentation.
