About the role
The Head of Treasury will play a critical role in shaping and executing Admiral Money's funding strategy. This individual will guide the development and diversification of the company’s funding base, optimising our private warehouse facilities, and building capabilities for forward flow transactions and public securitisations. The role holder will build out the Treasury framework for the business and oversee the development of risk management in relation to Treasury Activities.
This is a strategic leadership role requiring deep expertise in structured finance, securitisation, and debt capital markets, combined with a hands-on approach to execution.
Key Responsibilities will include:
1. Funding Strategy Development: Implementation and refinement of a long-term funding strategy that aligns with the company’s growth objectives. Optimise the use of existing facilities to ensure efficient and cost-effective funding.
2. Execution of Funding Transactions: Managing projects including new warehouses, mezzanine funding, forward flow, changes to existing funding contracts, etc. and working to ensure that these projects deliver the required objectives within the associated deadlines. Build and maintain strong relationships with capital providers to secure competitive terms. Manage the development of the company’s capabilities for public securitisations, including establishing processes, systems, and partnerships. Oversee transaction structuring, rating agency engagement, and investor roadshows.
3. Liquidity Management: Ownership of cash flow forecasting and management of facilities to ensure liquidity is used efficiently. Close interaction with senior stakeholders across our product set to ensure appropriate liquidity is available in line with trading plans.
4. Profitability and capital: Work closely with product teams across the business to drive pricing strategy in relation to funding costs. Help to optimise trading strategy to optimise profitability in conjunction with ensuring funding facilities are running efficiently.
5. Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison with warehouse lenders, institutional investors, and other funding partners. Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, finance, and risk teams.
6. Risk and Compliance Oversight: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices related to debt capital markets and securitisation activities. Implement robust risk management practices for all funding initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
* Extensive experience in debt capital markets, structured finance, or securitisation, ideally within non-bank lending or financial services.
* Proven track record of managing private warehouse facilities and executing forward flow or securitisation transactions.
* Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and rating agency methodologies for structured finance transactions.
* Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical audiences and a desire to work within a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
