The Trust Elective Flow Manager will support the Trust Patient Pathway Programme and ensure all patients on an elective care pathway are managed within the Trust’s booking guideline timescales ensuring that appointments/admissions are managed and booked, and appropriate follow up care is booked. This process will be across all Trust specialities.
Main duties of the job
The post of the Trust Elective Flow Manager will provide the interface between clinicians, administrative staff, and patients to manage and develop the overall administrative pathway.
The Trust Elective Flow Manager is required to line manage and develop the Central RTT (Referral to Treatment) Validation Team, to provide support to all Trust Specialities and to support the Trust’s Performance Team.
Oversee the day-to-day management plans for patients through liaison and pathway validation with clinicians for:
Closure of patient pathways
Processes administrative and clinical
Documentation and recording of clinical activity.
Outcoming and next steps for patients
The Trust Elective Flow Manager will make recommendations based on the outcomes of the patient pathway validation to all operational teams on ways to improve the administrative outpatient booking processes so that this enhances patient experience and patient care.
