We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client, who are seeking a Conveyancing Fee Earner to lead and supervise their Hayle office.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a legal professional to take on a leadership role while continuing hands-on fee-earning work in a supportive and well-established firm.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for running the Hayle office three days a week, with the expectation of spending two days per week in the firm’s Redruth office. The Hayle office is staffed by the appointed candidate and an experienced conveyancing assistant.
This role will primarily focus on residential conveyancing, with occasional involvement in commercial conveyancing matters. In addition to handling a caseload, the successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day management of the office, including:
* Maintaining relationships with estate agents and other professionals
* Supervising and supporting staff
* Reporting regularly to the firm’s partners
Appropriate supervision will be provided, with the Head of Conveyancing visiting the Hayle office weekly to review files and discuss transactions.
We welcome applications from:
* Solicitors, CILEX-qualified professionals, or Licensed Conveyancers
* Candidates with significant experience in running conveyancing files
Duties include:
* Handling the full range of residential conveyancing transactions, including freehold/leasehold sales & purchases, remortgages, and transfers of equity
* Strong understanding of best practices and legal procedures in conveyancing
* Excellent communication skills with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders
* Good administrative and organisational skills
Desirable Experience:
* New build, shared ownership, and Help to Buy transactions
* Commercial property transactions (including leases, freehold commercial sales/purchases)
* Supervising colleagues and managing a team
* Building and maintaining relationships with estate agents, financial advisors, and other professionals
Additional Information:
* The role could be part-time, with a minimum requirement of three days per week
* Full training and support in people management will be provided if required
