This is an exciting opportunity to join our Operations Team to facilitate our growth strategy. You will be responsible for working with the various areas of the business and customers to deliver new services to a wide spectrum of Industry sectors (nuclear, defence, transport, energy, marines, aerospace etc). In addition, this role may require working closely with the other TUV SUD businesses to help develop new services.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Work with identified customers to develop new testing methodology and solutions.
2. Support customers with advisory services to develop and deliver their compliance strategy including gap analysis and chargeable test plan services.
3. Support the commercial teams with developing pricing strategies for complex work and new services.
4. Support commercial and project management teams/new starters to train and develop competence in understanding and using works standards to produce accurate technical quotations.
5. Scope out and support work at sub-contract facilities, where required.
6. Deliver Business Cases for new services which underpin the growth strategies and engines.
7. Develop marketing material and webinars which will promote the compliance activities.
8. Work with other UK entities to optimise cross and solution selling activities in identified Industries.
9. Review project information to enable larger projects to commence promptly, supporting complex test readiness reviews.
10. Provide support to existing internal technical resource.
11. Provide internal training to upskill existing staff members and share best practice amongst the team.
Essential Criteria - the successful candidate will have/be:
1. Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
2. Proven track record of developing and managing equipment qualification programmes (DEF STAN, RTCA, etc).
3. In depth knowledge of regulatory requirements.
4. Experience in delivery of complex test plans for Aerospace and Defence projects.
5. Experience in determining remedial test requirements for product design changes (gap analysis).
6. A good working knowledge of the Defence and Aerospace business.
7. Experience in delivery of training both in-house and externally.
8. Good Commercial Awareness.
9. Good communication skills at all levels and relationships with customers, both external and internal.
10. Organisation skills and ability to deliver solutions within cost and to agreed timelines.
11. Thorough knowledge of ISO17025 and associated accreditation schemes.
