Job Description:
As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) performance while ensuring seamless operation of our facilities. Specializing in mechanical and distribution systems, you will perform planned, breakdown, and minor modification maintenance activities.
Your contributions will focus on driving continuous improvement and developing expertise to become a multi-disciplined technician.
Key Responsibilities:
* Uphold HSE standards, including risk assessments and job safety analysis.
* Self-manage the planning and execution of maintenance activities.
* Diagnose and rectify plant breakdowns while implementing preventive measures.
* Perform inspections and maintenance on motor control centres and mechanical distribution systems.
* Engage in continuous improvement projects to enhance reliability and efficiency.
* Provide training and knowledge sharing for team members.
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
* Time-served apprenticeship in Mechanical Maintenance.
* Minimum 2 years of post-apprenticeship experience in process or chemical plant environments.
* Strong analytical and mechanical fault diagnosis skills.
* Familiarity with COSHH, risk assessments, and method statements.
* Knowledge of ventilation, air conditioning, UPS systems, and motor maintenance.
* To have experience of working on plant equipment, heat exchanges
* Strong exposure of working upon both hydraulics and pneumatics
* Exposure to gas handling and distribution equipment, would be desired
Desirable:
* Time served apprenticeship
* Experience in a multi-disciplinary role (desired)
