Job Description
The main requirement of this role is to support ECU ownership for the tyre pressure monitoring systems. This includes hardware release, software release, and functionality testing.
Responsibilities include:
* Create and follow a delivery plan to ensure project milestones are met in a timely manner.
* Work with VW group colleagues to help with fault finding and resolution.
* Liaise with suppliers for parts ordering and to report software bugs.
* Escalate problems to higher management where required.
* Manage software, hardware, and ZDC releases in line with brand-specific processes.
* Conduct sign-off testing following brand and group guidelines and processes.
* Regularly present change requests in a multi-functional environment.
* Manage and assist with any production line issues associated with the ECU or the system.
* Create and manage group and brand-specific deviations (permit and AEKO).
* Assist with aftersales/customer problems in the field.
* Work cross-functionally with other departments to ensure full vehicle integration.
* Perform HiL testing as well as static and dynamic vehicle testing.
* Plan, manage, and attend test events in the UK and abroad.
* Write test reports and present the results to relevant stakeholders.
* Ensure documentation and test results are in place for engineering sign-off.
* Concern problem management (KPM).
Qualifications
* Full UK driving license.
* A general knowledge of vehicle networks and communication buses.
* Ability to work independently, as a team, and cross-functionally.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Basic knowledge of UNECE and automotive cyber security.
* Experience with diagnostic and data logging tools: ODIS, IDEX, CPTool, PIDT, CANape, CANoe.
* Experience with VW Group tools: System42, KVS, KPM, AVON, BOOM, PVR database.
* Experience with MS tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
