Main Purpose of Job:
Communication directly with the Procurement department and Depot General Manager for the supply and demand of stock items. Ensuring strict management of stock levels and replenishment, ensuring zero impact on Vegetarian Express customers.
To maintain rigorous stock count processes working collaboratively with the Procurement and Warehouse teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensuring that the day-to-day management of stock and inventory levels are maintained and meet customer demand.
* Increase profitability and effectiveness by maintaining optimal stock levels and ensuring stock rotation processes are followed.
* Communication with the purchasing team is essential, enabling a smooth transition of goods inbound and outbound. Work collaboratively with the Supply Chain & Logistics Manager and Warehouse Team.
* Ensure that all driver returns are logged and WMS updated accordingly, working alongside the Transport Operation Planner and Warehouse Supervisor to obtain accurate driver information.
* Conduct daily stock counts and address rotational issues with the warehouse team and buyer.
* Keep updated inventory records (including daily shipments).
* Control short-dated stock to prevent waste of product. Maintain clear communication with the sales team on short-dated products, coordinating with the buying team.
* Ensure that the goods-in process is robust and followed with the timely receipting of goods into WMS.
* Ensure that any stocks approaching their saleable shelf life are transferred to wigig codes and the sales team updated.
* Maintain daily stock levels of bulk and split products, including products bagged down in the repack room.
* Daily communication with the sales teams, particularly around out-of-stock items.
* Ensure WMS System stock levels match SAGE stock levels and invoices match goods booked in.
Key Skills Required:
* Proven work experience as a Stock Controller or a similar role.
* Good understanding of supply chain procedures.
* Working knowledge of inventory management.
* Stock management experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and other commonly used office packages.
* Strong IT and analytical skills.
* Clear ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
* Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with attention to detail.
* Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads.
* Ability to problem-solve and engage with and update processes.
