Class Teacher (Primary) Full time, permanent Start date - January 2025 Salary £30,000- £41,333 (SEN Point 1 £2,539 Midday Supervisor £2,011 - All Pay Awards Pending) A Primary Alternative Provision are seeking a full time Primary Teacher to start in January 2025. The school caters for primary age students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties, associated with a range of special educational needs, including autism. The school is a nurturing, innovative, and supportive alternative provision that caters to the diverse needs of primary-aged children who may have found mainstream education challenging. Key Responsibilities: Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs. Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes positive behavior and social development. Build strong relationships with students, fostering trust and encouraging participation and self-confidence. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, including support staff, therapists, and parents, to create individualized education plans (IEPs) and ensure effective implementation. Monitor student progress and adapt teaching methods to support their personal and academic growth. Participate in staff training and development opportunities to enhance professional skills and share best practices. What We’re Looking For: A qualified Primary Teacher (QTS or equivalent) with experience working with children in alternative provision, special education, or similar settings. Strong understanding of child development and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of children with various challenges. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. Patience, resilience, and a sense of humor in dealing with the diverse behaviors and needs of pupils. A passion for education and a commitment to promoting well-being and personal development among students.
