Weekends: Required to work every other weekend.
Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (37.5 hours/week)
Vacation Days: You may request up to 10 unpaid days off (approval on 1st come basis).
Position Description
Position Summary: These positions care for and clean the academic buildings, sporting facilities, cafeterias, and public areas located across Central Campus. They aid in the setup and teardown of all the events that take place in this area while following the lead of their supervisor. Project cleaning and providing support in the laundry room will take place under the discretion of the supervisor.
Major Preferred
Experience Required: None, will train.
Experience Preferred: Any previous employment: cleaning and/or event setup.

Special Working Conditions:
* Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
* Must possess full range of physical motion and be able to stand or walk for long periods of time as demanded by cleaning/event set-up tasks.
* Must be able to handle cleaning chemicals.
* Shift: 7:30am to 4:00pm (37.5 hours/week)
* Lunch: 1-hour (Free lunch included – per shift).
* Work Schedule: Assigned to five (5) days a week, assigned Sunday-Saturday. You will be assigned to work every other weekend.
* Vacation days: Ten ‘unpaid’ days may be taken. Vacation requests the first and last two weeks of the summer schedule and the week of June 29 – July 6 are limited. All date requests are on a first come basis.
* Room and Board (Optional): MU College Student Perk – Cost $20/week, payroll deduction.

Primary Duties:
1. Clean and prepare assigned areas using proper chemicals and procedures. (Mop, wipe things down, vacuum, sweep, dust and more.)
2. Work with small machinery to complete cleaning tasks. (extractor, vacuum, leaf blower, KyVak).
3. Maintain equipment and storage areas. (Fill chemical bottles, dispose of rags, stock custodial closets, change vac bag, clean kyvak, etc.)
4. Move furniture as necessary.
5. Take out trash as needed.
6. Move and align tables, chairs, build stages, skirt furniture, put up bleachers and anything necessary to complete the setup/teardown of special events.
7. Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
Secondary Duties:
1. Collect lost and found items.
2. Assist other Campus & Building areas: Residence Hall, Laundry Services and Conference Services as needed.
3. Other duties as assigned.
