A competitive salary enhanced every six months depending on individual progress and performance starting at around £18,900 per annum, rising to £34,540 at the end of the programme.

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
The Technical Planning Department oversees a unique range of products and processes within the Interior trim centre. In this role, you will gain supervision and training in the following areas:
* Series planning – the implementation of manufacturing techniques to create a robust production system.
* Structure planning – business needs analysis to shape the future of the production system.
* Project planning - develop and integrate future products and materials.
* Logistic planning - provide material flow analysis to enable idealistic product deliveries.
Tasks and responsibilities:
* Planning and delivering best practice solutions to improve efficiency.
* Establish a Lean Manufacturing Environment
* Create instructions of work.
* Strategical analysis of future volume demands and their impact on the production system.
* Scenario and realisation planning.
* Industrialisation of production processes for new Rolls-Royce Interior parts.
* Responsible for the development and integration of interior trim parts, from raw materials through to finished products.

* Foundation Stage: Complying with statutory regulations and stringent organisational safety requirements
* Foundation Stage: Producing components using hand fitting, fabrication and joining techniques
* Foundation Stage: Producing Computer Aided Design (CAD) models (drawings) using a CAD system
* Foundation Stage: Preparing and using lathes, milling and other general or specialist machines and high tech equipment
* Foundation Stage: Preparing and proving Computer Numeric Control programmes
* Foundation Stage: Using computer software packages to assist with and evaluate engineering activities
* Foundation Stage: Producing and managing engineering project plans
* Foundation Stage: Producing assemblies using a wide range of materials and techniques
* Development Team: Project management and scheduling engineering activities
* Development Team: Securing appropriate resources and managing budgets and resources
* Development Team: Implementing, monitoring and evaluating engineering processes
Your training plan
* The academic aspect of the apprenticeship will be delivered on a day release basis and ultimately result in BEng Mechanical Engineering degree if successfully completed.

Car design and creation at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is like nothing else in the industry. The apprenticeship features a unique opportunity to get hands on experience of all aspects of car design and creation. You will spend 2 days per week (in the first term) completing a ‘craft skills’ course which includes woodwork, sewing, mechanics, metal work and CAD. During this time, you will work towards the following qualifications: Health and Safety, Preparing to Learn, Reflective Practice, and Electrical Vehicle Awareness.
