Everyone has heard their family say the phrase, "I'm not your taxi driver" at some point, but what does a taxi driver's job actually involve?
Taxi drivers provide an essential service bringing holidaymakers to airports, children to school, shoppers back home and helping those with mobility problems get from A to B.
So, what will I actually be doing?
The successful applicant will be self-employed and will be provided with a fully plated taxi for which all running expenses are paid by the company including fuel, insurance etc. The driver will pay a weekly rental for the vehicle at a % of the amount they take in fares.
You will need to hold a full UK driving License for at least 1 year
Ideally you will hold a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire drivers Licence issued by Cornwall Council, however, for the right person we can help you with this. It is a simple process and takes around 6 weeks.
We are looking to recruit an addition driver to join our team.
In addition this driver will have the option to take on school contract work from September which will mean a few extra hours during school term times.
