Hoop Recruitment are looking for a Deputy Team Manager to join the Local Authorities Central Resource Team based in Llanelli. This is an exciting time to be joining the team, which is similar to other LA's MASH service. The CRT acts as a first point of contact for Children's Social Care enabling members of the public and professionals to raise concerns about the welfare of Children. This role is an initial 3 month contract starting immediately with the view to be extended subject to a permanent appointment. Pay rate for this role is in line with Team Manager rate of the All Wales Pledge. This role is an on-site post based out of Llanelli town centre. 37 hours per week 845 - 5PM Monday - Friday.
Duties and responsibilities for this role:
* Provide advice and guidance to duty officers and Social Workers
* Make decisions on information received by CRT
* Convene and lead on strategy discussions
* Ensure that all work is completed and authorised within 24 hours
* Attend MARAC and Daily Discussions as and when required
Requirements:
* Social Care Wales registration
* Social Work qualification
* DBS online or be prepared to undertake a DBS
* 3 years of references
To apply for this role, you will need to hold:
* A minimum of 6 months experience of working in the UK as a registered social worker
* A relevant Social Work Qualification
* Registration with Social Care Wales / Social Work England
* Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
* 3 years of referencing
* Previous experience of a similar role would be advantageous
