About The Role Contract: Fixed Term until 31/03/2026 Salary: £31,067 - £35,235 Hours: 37 Location: Hereford Closing Date: 02/05/2025 Interview Date 09/05/2025 The role We are looking to recruit an additional Careers and Employment Coach to support the effective delivery of Herefordshire’s new Youth Employment Hub. The Hub provides access to information, advice, guidance and support to young people aged 16-24 to help them gain skills and access education, training and employment. It is located in Hereford city centre but also operates on a hub and spoke model working with partners across Herefordshire. The project is being delivered in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions. We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and confident, individual who are passionate about providing the best possible service and improving outcomes for young people. Managing a caseload of young people aged 16 to 24 you will play a pivotal role by providing them with support, mentoring and advice, building on their strengths, empowering and equipping them to gain paid work, volunteering, further education, training, apprenticeships or work experience, The careers and employment coaches work closely with the Youth Employment Hub Co-ordinator and partnership organisations to ensure the most comprehensive and suitable support options are provided for the young people they are working with. About You As a Careers and Employment Coach you will be: Experienced in working effectively with young people aged 16 to 24 seeking information and advice on education, training, employment and related issues. Proficient in managing caseloads in a timely manner and achieving outcomes Knowledgeable about the challenges of youth unemployment for young people, particularly those facing multiple barriers including mental health, disability, young parents, care experienced and homelessness.
