Aberdeen-based nexos seeks a skilled Chief Structural Engineering Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
Role Overview
Maintain high technical standards of work, support subordinates, and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
* Maintain the highest level of technical quality in accordance with originating, checking, and approval procedures.
* Support the development and competency of direct reports.
* Ensure seamless communication with all relevant stakeholders.
* Lead assigned teams, manage workload allocation, quality assurance, and delivery to plans.
* Provide critical design input into tenders and proposals.
* Prepare comprehensive technical input into scopes of work and estimates.
* Ensure compliance with agreed budgets and schedules for assigned tasks.
* Deliver high-quality discipline deliverables and contribute to multi-discipline projects.
* Review and approve discipline deliverables prepared by other team members.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for project scope and schedule changes.
* Maintain strict adherence to applicable and current standards, regulations, codes, and procedures.
* Assist in the recruitment process for discipline personnel.
Requirements and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A degree qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
* Chartered status with a recognized institution.
* Experience working on brownfield projects in the offshore sector.
* Technical expertise in concept, FEED, and detailed design of steel structures.
* Familiarity with relevant design codes and standards.
* A proven track record of leading and managing teams of engineers/designers.
* Excellent quality control and delivery skills.
* Strong commercial, contractual, and administrative knowledge.
