Subsidiary Accountant Location: Chelmsford Job Type: Full-time Salary: circa £50,000 Reed Finance are supporting our client, an international manufacturing business, who are seeking a Subsidiary Accountant to join the team. The new Financial Accountant will deliver financial control and reporting for a number of Group subsidiaries, whilst also taking ownership of the Group intercompany reconciliation process. Day-to-day of the role: Responsible for the monthly accounting of various companies, including journal processing, purchase orders, GL reconciliations, rolling forecast reporting, and annual budget preparation. Ensure compliance with company and local statutory reporting requirements and liaise with internal and external auditors. Manage the processing of intercompany recharges and the intercompany reconciliation process. Prepare and support the tax reporting requirements for the holding companies, including the preparation of reporting packs and VAT returns. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes and supplemental reporting. Handle group lease accounting entries and reporting for US GAAP. Ensure the business operates within the financial controls and procedures set by the Group. Required Skills & Qualifications: Previous experience in financial accounting within a medium to large organisation or within practice. Qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA. Strong team player with a flexible and can-do approach. A self-starter eager to improve existing processes. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel. Experience with SAP is beneficial.
