Hours: Monday – Friday 8am to 6pm and Saturday 8am -12noon

About the role
You will be responsible for:
* Diagnosing vehicle faults and rectifying defects.
* Carrying out vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance.
* Arranging for all equipment to be serviced in line with manufacturers' guidelines and current regulations.
* Removing unserviceable or faulty equipment from use and ensuring that it is reported for repair or replacement.
* Repairing and maintaining equipment as required and checking and calibrating equipment wherever appropriate.
* Providing technical advice and support where necessary.
* Keeping personal knowledge of standards, new equipment, manufacturers, and statutory regulations current.
* Always working safely and adhering to all health and safety procedures.
About you
* Must have a minimum level 3 certificate in HGV heavy oil maintenance.
* Experience in trailer repair and MOT is essential.
* Experience in lorry maintenance and MOT is essential.
* Understanding of ABS systems is an advantage.
* Must have own tools.
* Must be prepared to cover shifts on service van/breakdowns for one week on a rotational basis.
