Job Purpose
To provide essential support in the implementation, management, and maintenance of technical applications at The R&A, critical to our organisational operations. Assist on projects, creating and maintaining relevant documentation, and delivering value for stakeholders. Working closely with the application management team to streamline processes, assist in troubleshooting issues, and contribute to the overall success of our applications.
Key Accountabilities
1. Assist in managing the Technical Delivery Development request dashboards and be the go-to contact for communications between the third-party agencies and stakeholders.
2. Collaborate with the application management team to resolve user-reported problems and escalate issues as necessary.
3. Respond promptly to user queries and issues related to applications.
4. Ensure effective stakeholder management and work closely with third parties to prioritise and deliver tasks on time.
5. Assist in projects implementing new or upgrading existing applications, in accordance with team processes and frameworks.
6. Assist in the handover and onboarding of new applications into the Application Management support framework.
7. Collaborate with external development teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of application bug fixes and minor enhancements.
8. Attend, provide feedback, and input into key daily, weekly, and bi-weekly meetings to allow for the development teams to progress on sprint tasks.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand application bug details and enhancements.
10. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to relay updates, issues, and resolutions related to application management.
11. Create and own a key dates calendar to assist the management team in planning development and resources.
12. Assist in maintaining comprehensive documentation of application management procedures and processes.
13. Create and share reports on application performance, usage, and new releases.
14. Provide ongoing support and guidance to users to optimise their application utilisation.
15. Identify opportunities to improve application management processes and contribute ideas for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
16. Work with the team to propose and implement best practices and standard operating procedures for application management.
Expertise
1. Scottish National 5 qualifications in English and Maths, or equivalent.
2. Proficient in using Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
3. Experience working in a role liaising with a variety of stakeholders.
