Volunteers offer regular support to families in their own homes, helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown. We also run a number of family support groups. We are seeking an experienced, flexible person with a warm, friendly personality and managerial skills to lead the Home-Start Telford & Wrekin team to support families in the Telford & Wrekin area. The ideal candidate will have: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Data analysis and report writing skills Budgeting experience Team leading and supervisory skills Strategic awareness/business development Income generation skills A commitment to EEDI Networking experience An understanding of the needs of disadvantaged children and families Experience of working directly, face to face, with vulnerable families Good knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures Experience of working with volunteers A knowledge and experience of IT, including Word, Excel, Publisher, data collection systems (CRMs), email and use of mobile phone apps The ability to work on their own initiative in a challenging environment Experience of working with a managerial Board A relevant level 5 or equivalent qualification OR relevant managerial experience Parenting experience or equivalent. The successful candidate will need to hold a valid driving licence and have the use of their own car, which is essential (expenses will be paid).
