Engineering Technician
Mast Group Ltd. are looking to recruit an Engineering Technician to join the Engineering Development team. Mast Group Ltd. is a leading international manufacturer and supplier of medical diagnostics products for the diagnosis of infectious disease. Our products are used throughout the UK and worldwide. The job holder will operate, maintain and continuously improve customer and administrative support systems with the aim of assisting the Company in achieving its sales and serviceability objectives. The role will be located at Mast's site in Bootle and also the site in Daresbury.
THE ROLE
1. Ensure incoming goods are booked into the stock management system
2. Perform technical GIQC on incoming orders
3. Ensure goods in process is followed and concessions/failures are reported in good time
4. Ensure that products are assembled in a cost-effective and timely manner
5. Prioritise workload against deliverables and manage timelines
6. Manage goods in, goods out, stock and inventory in an auditable fashion
7. Monitor stock and request purchase of low stock items
8. Ensure that implementation of procedures for product assembly is co-ordinated and carried out in accordance with Company policies and using appropriate systems and documents such as change proposals, amendments, audits, and databases.
THE PERSON
* 2 years relevant experience is essential
* Attention to detail
* Skilled in assembly
* Ability to read engineering drawings is desirable
* Cognitive hands-on skills
* Experience of a range of electronic and manual tools
* Computer literate
* Sage / Audit experience is desirable
* Demonstrates ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team
* Available during normal working hours
* Flexible approach
In addition to the specified duties, the employee is expected to perform additional tasks when reasonably called upon to do so.
