Job Summary The successful applicant will work within the Pennine Care NHS Tameside & Glossop Talking Therapies service (based in Ashton-u-Lyne, which is in close proximity to Manchester city centre). It is a highly regarded, well-established provider of Talking Therapies services on behalf of the NHS. You will be offering high volume, low intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) based interventions using a guided self-help model, to clients with depression and/or anxiety problems. Please note this is for a full time (37.5 hour) post. We do not offer remote contracts and the post holder would be expected to be able to work across Tameside and Glossop. Main duties of the role The role requires a Diploma in Low Intensity Psychological interventions or evidence of nearing successful completion of an accredited PWP training course. The role requires you to be registered with either the BPS or BABCP The successful candidate will join a well-established IAPT team including Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, Cognitive Behavioural Therapists and Counsellors. The PWP role is highly valued and seen as an integral part of what we do. Our PWP’s provide suitability assessments and evidence based Low Intensity CBT interventions for people with common mental health difficulties, such as anxiety and depression through face to face, telephone and digital methods. We offer 1:1, workshops and online treatments. The post holder will work with people from different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to recognising and valuing diversity and providing equal opportunities for all. We are keen to develop the skills of our PWPs and there are opportunities to get involved in exciting and innovative projects, such as working with long-term conditions, and for career development. We offer in house training to ensure ongoing support and skills development is provided. Daily drop-in supervision sessions are available to provide ample opportunity to support you with your high-volume caseload.
