About The Role
Are you passionate about place making and creating great places for people to live, work and visit? If you are then this could be the role for you! Fareham Borough Council are looking for a Regeneration Project Officer to join their newly formed Regeneration team.
This role will provide the opportunity to help deliver Fareham’s regeneration vision, assisting with the delivery of a range of projects, working closely with other Council services and engaging with local businesses on regeneration initiatives.
About You
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and who can make a positive contribution to the regeneration work we are undertaking. You will have an understanding of, or interest in, regeneration and place making and working with businesses, communities and residents to promote town centre regeneration proposals. A key part of this role is working across Council services, providing support to help deliver projects for the successful regeneration of Fareham Town Centre.
You will be a creative thinker, able to work with colleagues to develop ideas and find solutions to problems.
You will have some knowledge of project delivery and will need to be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team; supporting the work of the Senior Regeneration Project Officer and Regeneration Strategic Lead as well as the wider organisation when required.
You will have a customer-oriented approach along with excellent communication, administration and ICT skills.
You will have some dealings with elected members and therefore political awareness is desirable.
A valid driving licence and access to your own transport is essential.
