Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist Banding: Band 6 Location: Bristol Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pm Start Date: ASAP Rate: £20 - £32 Duration: 3 months with potential of being extended We are seeking an exceptionally skilled and motivated Speech and Language Therapist to join our esteemed client in Bristol. Your advanced expertise will be pivotal in ensuring the precision and reliability of patient care and treatment. This position is part-time until November, with 2 days per week, Mon-Fri, up to 0.4 WTE. It could be combined with our other locum request (PSSUS) to make full-time hours for a shorter time period. Note that the end date for this position is November, while our other vacancy is only for 2 months. Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will be responsible for conducting assessments and managing adult inpatients with acquired swallowing and communication difficulties related to respiratory, cardiac, and critical care conditions. You will work as part of the adult respiratory and critical care team, maintaining meticulous records and documentation, and collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver superior patient care. Competencies in tracheostomy care are desirable but not essential. Qualifications and Experience: HCPC registration Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy or a related field Extensive experience in adult respiratory and critical care Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities Unwavering attention to detail and accuracy Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team Why work with Pulse?
