About Us In 1988, and until 2002, Classic Collection Holidays was a small tour operator selling upmarket package holidays to the Canary Islands, Madeira and Mallorca. From 2002 until 2018, the company grew to become a successful mid-sized predominantly tour-operator-to-travel-agent provider of mainly short-haul luxury holidays. On The Beach plc’s acquisition of, and investment in, Classic Collection Holidays in 2018, allowed the company, under independent management, to grow its portfolio of tailor-made luxury holidays for Classic Collection Holidays, and to launch two sibling brands, trade-friendly Classic Collection and trade-only booking portal, Classic Package Holidays. In May 2024, Classic Collection and Classic Package Holidays combined to become Classic Collection. Operating a single brand and a single platform, Classic Collection became 100% trade-focussed, and introduced a more efficient way of working to help exploit opportunities for growth to the benefit of agent partners, mutual customers and third party suppliers.
