Business Development Manager - Financial Services

£45,000 - £50,000 + Uncapped commission (OTE £100K +)
My client is an award-winning tax advisory business supporting companies across the UK. Due to their ongoing growth, they are now looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially aware sales professional to take their career to the next level.
The Role:
1. Your main focus will be building strong relationships with accountancy firms across the country.
2. Identifying new business opportunities and driving efforts to grow the client base.
3. Securing meetings with key decision-makers at professional intermediary firms will be a big part of your role.
4. Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed targets, ensuring business growth.
5. You'll collaborate with senior partners to create and execute a marketing strategy that showcases the company's services.
6. Lead generation will involve research, event campaigns, networking, and outbound calls.
7. Responsible for hitting key performance indicators (KPIs) and supporting the team to manage the pipeline of business.
8. Reporting regularly on new business opportunities, market trends, and competitor activity will be important.
The Candidate:
1. Ideally, you'll have 3-5 years' experience in Business Development or a similar role, ideally within a tax advisory or financial services business.
2. A “hunter” mentality will be key—someone who's motivated to actively seek and pursue new business.
3. You should have strong communication and networking skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships.
4. Self-motivation and discipline are essential, as you'll be expected to work independently and drive results.
5. Experience in B2B content marketing and executing digital campaigns would be highly valuable.
6. If you have experience in tax or OMB (Owner Managed Business) advisory, even better.
