You will be required to drive specialist airfield support vehicles, emergency response vehicles, passenger and freight vehicles including coaches and heavy goods, (rigid and articulated), in accordance with national laws, MOD regulations and local standing orders. A rostered working pattern is in place to which the successful applicant will be required to work. A willingness to be flexible and undertake planned or short notice overtime, including weekends is essential. The successful applicant will be required to carry out long distance journeys with some overnight stays away from the unit. Pre and post use vehicle documentation and maintenance will be required on all vehicles together with responsibility for satisfactory load and security. When not driving, she/he must be prepared to undertake other tasks as required by the MT Controller/Supervisor; these may include general vehicle maintenance and husbandry.
