About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a fun, passionate and caring team to support and empower our fabulous young people aged 16-25 within our Residential College. It will be your job to support our young people to make their own decisions and reach their full potential. You will be required to support in a personalised way and respond to their needs, wishes and aspirations.
Within your role, you will support young people with a vision impairment and additional complex needs to develop their independence and daily living skills during their boarding over the weekend.
At weekends, our young people like to get out, explore, and socialise. You will help support them with accessing leisure and social activities within the community.
At InFocus, we will support you every step of the way by providing an excellent, well-designed induction programme along with mandatory training to ensure that you fully understand your role within the organisation.
About you
We are looking for kind, friendly, and compassionate people with a can-do approach and the drive to make a difference to the lives of our young people through learning. You will be a person who likes to have fun and enjoys working as part of a team in a busy environment. You will be ambitious for our young people with a strong belief in their potential to learn and make progress.
Previous experience in a similar role is not necessary. InFocus will support you every step of the way by providing an excellent, well-designed induction programme along with mandatory training to help you get off to the best possible start, ensuring that you fully understand your role and the part you play in the wider organisation. Working pattern
Our weekend only working pattern is 28 hours per week, working Saturdays & Sundays (08:00-22:30).
Actual salary £20,460.72 – £21,045.92
