About the Role:
As a Business Analyst, you'll work directly with leaders in the forces to map and improve current business processes, aimed at reducing inefficiencies and improving service quality. This will involve working with those closest to the process to map the current state, supported by in-depth analysis to identifying strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement. You'll create analytical products that aid in programme decision making and deliver an effective organisational business processes improvement strategy. You will adopt a proactive approach to propose and implement redesigns for existing processes in support of the programme vision and objectives, ultimately improving our services for the public.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work directly with Business Leads to conduct in depth analysis of existing business processes to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
* Propose and implement redesign for existing processes to streamline workflow and enhance efficiency.
* Utilise process modelling tools to create visual representations of current and future processes.
* Analyse relevant data and metrics to support informed decision making, identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
* Support project managers in achieving project deliverables and solving issues.
* Produce and present summary reports, findings, and proposals.
* Assist in the preparation of business cases and project documentation.
* Collaborate with Capability Leads and Transformation Officers for a coordinated approach.
About You:
* Experience: Significant experience in continuous improvement, organisational improvement or project management.
* Skills: In-depth knowledge of analytical techniques and business analysis methods (such as process mapping, value stream analysis or LEAN ways of working).
* Communication: Strong oral and written communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction.
* Technical Proficiency: Competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Visio, and Project.
* Attributes: Proven ability to work to targets, deliver objectives, and drive efficiency gains.
