We have an exciting opportunity for a developing Civil Engineer, with experience in pipeline and network design, to join our national team. You will be part of a talented multi-disciplinary team of technical specialists delivering a diverse range of medium-to-large-scale flooding, growth and leakage projects, covering all phases of the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate would be an early career professional progressing towards chartership or newly chartered, and keen to progress their career and evolve within Mott MacDonald. As an Assistant Engineer you will be responsible for providing key technical inputs on a range of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You'll join an innovative and motivated team of engineers, preparing feasibility, outline and detailed pipeline and hydraulic design work. You'll be responsible for: Delivering designs for potable water or sewage pipelines schemes for growth, or to respond to spills or leakage issues Producing technical specifications, drawings and schedules Coordinating with other disciplines Managing the delivery of your projects to budget and programme, including monthly reporting Report writing and preparation of presentation materials Working in close partnership with clients, representing the company in technical meetings Mott MacDonald offers a highly innovative and collaborative environment within which to further develop your career. Candidate specification We are seeking a civil engineer early career professional, progressing towards chartership or newly chartered, who can demonstrate the following attributes: Civil Engineering degree qualified or equivalent UK water infrastructure experience, particularly in pipelines (water or waste) An understanding of the designer's responsibilities under the CDM regulations Proactive approach, with an ability to adapt and prioritise Strong collaboration and communication skills in both oral presentations and written reports Project Management experience is not essential but previous experience or a desire to develop these skills would be beneficial If you meet 80% or more of what we're looking for, please still apply.
