The Payments Association is seeking a highly motivated Project and Content Coordinator who will work with our members through a series of project working groups. Through these projects, they will deliver thought-leadership content and policy work for our members by establishing strong relationships with senior payments professionals and delivering project work to a high standard, on time, and within budget. The Payments Association connects the market-makers – informing, influencing and celebrating change and development throughout the booming UK market for Payments.
About the role
The Project and Content Coordinator will have the opportunity to manage their own working groups, related workstreams and output, as well as be involved with the creation of multimedia content.
Our projects reflect the key challenges within the payments industry covering areas such as Open Banking. We are also looking to expand with further projects in 2023 so we continue to address the various and complex issues our members face in the payments industry such as diversity and sustainability.
Reporting to the Head of Projects, the Project and Content Coordinator will need to listen to the needs of our members and deliver exciting and engaging activities such as workshops, podcasts, whitepapers, industry reports and other events.
Key Responsibilities
1. Coordinate project meetings designed to connect our members across the payments industry and establish The Payments Association as the only member network to deal with topical payments matters.
2. Create agendas for the project meetings, and establish strong relationships with project team members and external stakeholders.
3. Develop a strategy for each project, to deliver maximum engagement with the project team and our wider membership using content and policy work.
4. Through each project, edit and produce regular thought leadership content such as articles, podcasts, video interviews and events.
5. Identify stakeholder opportunities and develop relationships to drive future growth of the projects.
6. Collaborate with our content, policy, sponsorship sales, delegate sales, marketing, events and operations teams to identify opportunities that support revenue growth and profitability.
7. Become a Payments Association representative, speaking with the media about issues we are uncovering through our working groups and related content.
Skills, Experience & Personal Attributes
1. 1-2 years of experience in corporate content, multimedia journalism, or conference production.
2. Interest in the fintech & payments space.
3. Strong writing abilities and impeccable attention to detail.
4. Excellent communicator with exceptional people skills.
5. Hands-on experience with managing clients and projects.
6. Outstanding time management & organisational skills.
7. Approachable, positive, and able to coordinate and support all stakeholders. Stakeholder management is essential.
8. Balance being a team player in the wider content department while taking accountability for individual projects and their outputs.
9. Hybrid working model. You choose where you work but within easy access to London for meetings and events.
