Goods-in Manager
Alexander Steele is recruiting a Goods-in Manager for a unique FMCG business based in Wiltshire. The role holder will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality, stock management, and control processes within the business. You will supervise a team of 10 people and will oversee all aspects of inbound inventory coming into the business.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the coordination and planning of all inbound deliveries for stock that is uplifted from other UK warehouses, imported goods arranged by our customers for EU & non-EU deliveries with the agreed hauliers.
2. Prioritising private and high value deliveries to ensure the risk is managed effectively and in line with the business values and standards.
3. Develop and implement efficient stock management processes to ensure accurate tracking of all stored goods.
4. Conduct regular inspections of stored goods to ensure compliance with temperature, humidity, and light control measures.
Background Experience:
1. Strong supply chain and logistics experience, particularly with dealing with EU imported goods.
2. Strong planning and analytical skills with experience of reporting at management level.
3. Excellent communicator, customer-focused with commercial awareness.
4. Good Excel experience, ability to manipulate sets of data received in different formats.
