The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a background in water engineering, systems and processes to join our mechanical team in the Energy, Water and Resources portfolio to deliver projects that benefit society, industry, and the environment.
You will have the opportunity to use your talents and build new experience and specialist skills in the areas that interest you the most by working with multidisciplinary teams on projects that may include: Water & wastewater treatment and supply for UK water sector AMP7 and AMP8 Frameworks; Flood alleviation projects on the Environment Agency Capital Delivery Framework; Hydro power, pumped storage, dams and reservoirs; Industrial water and process systems and industrial decarbonisation.
Is this role right for you?
We are seeking Mechanical Engineers with a particular focus on the Water industry. The following skills and experience are of interest:
* Chartered through IMechE or other relevant body.
* Knowledge of mechanical equipment selection and application in multidisciplinary environment.
* Ability to lead the mechanical design of water and wastewater treatment from concept through to detailed design.
* Skills in relevant design tools and software - Knowledge of relevant design tools, techniques and methods which may include BIM, Plant 3D, Revit or other specialist packages.
* Good knowledge of mechanical design standards and safety systems.
